Piranha already maintains your Amazon gift card balance at a set threshold, preventing the need to risk any extra funds at a given time. We are happy to announce a new feature that will let you further reduce the amount of funds at risk in your Amazon accounts: just-in-time gift code addition.
Using this feature, PriceYak will automatically pull gift cards from your Piranha queue as needed when placing an order. In typical usage, this allows your Amazon accounts to have less than $100 on them at any time–pretty awesome! To enable just-in-time gc addition, do the following:
- Setup a Piranha account if you haven't already. If you have an existing Piranha account, you must make sure it is linked to your PriceYak account using the "link" option in Piranha.
- If you had already setup Piranha, you can DISABLE automatic balance maintenance on there (and delete your retailer accounts from there if you like).
- Check the box next to "Automatically apply GCs during checkout if balance is lower than order amount" on the bottom of the fulfillment account settings page for each of your fulfillment accounts.
That's it! From then on, PriceYak will begin placing orders on your Amazon account, and if it sees that the gift balance on your account is too low during checkout it will apply codes one-by-one until your balance is sufficient.
You can buy gift cards from us (we even offer volume discounts!), however you can also bring your own gift card codes from a different source. Piranha is FREE to use, so don’t risk holding a gift card balance in an Amazon account.
